Pokemon GO Holiday Part 2 Event Guide

Pokemon GO keeps the holiday fun going with the Holiday Part 2 event. This fun event brings Wooloo and Dubwool wearing special holiday outfits. Players can also catch Shiny Cetoddle for the first time ever. The event gives you double XP when you catch Pokemon, better raid rewards, and special bonuses. Holiday Part 2 runs from December 22 to December 27, 2024. This guide tells you everything about the event.

Event Schedule

The Holiday Part 2 event starts on Sunday, December 22 at 10:00 a.m. It ends on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. local time. This gives you almost six full days to catch special Pokemon and finish event tasks. The event starts right when Holiday Part 1 ends.

Featured Pokemon

Holiday Attire Wooloo shows up in Pokemon GO for the first time during this event. This special version of the sheep Pokemon shows up in the wild and when you use Incense. You can turn Holiday Attire Wooloo into Holiday Attire Dubwool by using 50 Wooloo Candy. Both Pokemon can be found as shinies if you get lucky.

Shiny Cetoddle comes to the game during the Holiday Part 2 event. The shiny version changes Cetoddle’s white color to dark gray and changes the pink parts to orange. You have better chances to find Shiny Cetoddle in one-star raids during the event.

Partly Cloudy weather makes Holiday Attire Wooloo show up more. Go to areas with this weather to find more costumed Wooloo. Use Lure Modules and Incense in Partly Cloudy weather to bring even more Holiday Wooloo to you.

Incense Encounters

Different Pokemon show up when you use Incense on certain dates. The spawns change between even days and odd days during the event.

Even days (December 22, 24, 26):

• Snorlax
• Blitzle
• Yamask
• Lampent
• Holiday Attire Wooloo

Odd days (December 23, 25, 27):

• Galarian Zigzagoon
• Togetic
• Foongus
• Furfrou
• Cetoddle

This changing schedule gives you three days to catch Pokemon from each group. Plan when to use your Incense based on which Pokemon you want to catch.

Raid Battles

Many different raid levels are active during the Holiday Part 2 event. Each level has different Pokemon with different difficulty.

One-star raids:

• Alolan Vulpix

Three-star raids:

• Snorlax
• Banette
• Zebstrika
• Toucannon

Five-star raids:

• Giratina Altered Form

Mega Raids:

• Mega Latios

Focus on one star raids if you want Shiny Cetoddle. The better shiny chance in raids gives you higher odds than wild catches.

Event Bonuses

Active bonuses during the whole event:

• 2x XP when you catch Pokemon
• 50% more XP from Raid Battles

These bonuses help you level up faster during the holiday event. The double catch XP is really helpful if you catch many event Pokemon. Use this bonus with Lucky Eggs to get even more XP.

The longer Daily Adventure Incense bonus from December 25 to January 5 makes this special item last twice as long. Use this time to walk around your area and catch rare Pokemon that only show up with Daily Adventure Incense.

Research Tasks

Event Field Research tasks show up at PokeStops during the event. Finish these tasks to get encounters with event Pokemon. The tasks also give you Stardust and other helpful items.

Collection Challenges are available during the event. These challenges make you catch certain Pokemon from the event spawn list. Finishing Collection Challenges gives you Stardust, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and encounters with event Pokemon.

Paid Timed Research is available for $5.00 (or the same price in your money). The rewards include:

• 2 Incense
• Wooloo Jacket avatar item
• Encounters with Holiday Attire Wooloo

You must finish the Paid Timed Research by Friday, December 27, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. local time. The tasks and rewards go away when the event ends, so finish them fast if you buy the ticket.

Playing Smart

Start by making space in your Pokemon storage before the event starts. This gives you room to catch all the new costumed Pokemon and shiny versions. Focus on catching Holiday Attire Wooloo early in the event so you have time to turn it into Dubwool.
